This is due to the ability of EMRs to create, collect, manage and analyze patient information, plus the ability to send and share patient information among healthcare providers within the healthcare sector. Medical record history is critical when making treatment decisions. Through the opportunity provided by the EMR to share medical information concerning a patient, healthcare workers have the chance to take advantage and learn more about the patient, such as their previous treatment, lab reports, and their allergies, among other information relevant for making an appropriate medical judgment.
