Audience and Strategies for Disseminating the Proposal

The audience for the EBP proposal involving the implementation of trauma-informed care interventions among children with trauma in a health department is the public health nurses. The public health nurses working in the health care department will therefore be targeted with the EBP proposal. The strategies for disseminating the EBP proposal involving the implementation of trauma-informed care intervention include presenting the program to all stakeholders of the health department, including the management and public health nurses, in meetings (Ross-Hellauer et al., 2020). Another strategy to disseminate the EBP proposal will entail creating training materials and tools kits that public health nurses can utilize to familiarize themselves with the proposed trauma-informed care interventions. Presenting information on the health department’s website related to trauma-informed care interventions is also an effective way of disseminating the EBP proposal (Brownson et al., 2018). Finally, creating and distributing materials related to the EBP proposal, such as flyers, pamphlets, guides, and DVDs to the public health nurses in the health department, can go a long way in disseminating the proposal (Ross-Hellauer et al., 2020).

The utilization of different strategies to disseminate the EBP proposal will therefore make the dissemination process more successful. The public health nurses in the health department will consequently gain more information related to the utilization of trauma-informed care interventions among children and utilize these new EBPs in practice settings. Making information related to the EBP proposal available in different formats will also accommodate the different learning methods of the target audience. The target audience, who are public health nurses, can effectively understand the EBP proposal and widely adopt it in practice settings.
