Assignment 1 Individualized Professional Role Trajectory Paper The purpose of this paper is to reflect upon your own leadership style and professional goals, your role concepts, and prospective action plan. Use the following guide to draft your Individualized Professional Role Trajectory paper. Also, review the Assignment rubric to ensure you have met the assignment criteria. The expected length of the paper is approximately 4-5 pages, which does not include the cover page and reference page. 1. Introduction (including purpose statement) 2. Professional Background o Describe your professional academic history up until this point in your career. o Describe your professional work history up until this point in your life. o Based on this professional background, describe your decision to attend graduate school and choose a specific Nurse Practitioner population focus (i.e. Family Nurse Practitioner, Adult/Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner). 3. Personal and Professional Goals o Identify and describe 2-3 goals for attaining competencies in this graduate nurse practitioner program o Identify and describe 2-3 goals for your professional practice as a certified and licensed nurse practitioner and explain how you plan to achieve these goals. 4. Empirical Application of the Role Concept o Select 3 role concepts from Table 4-1 in your textbook and address the following items: • o Why do you anticipate that you will encounter these role concepts while in graduate school? What is your strategy to address these role concepts as you go through graduate school?
