On the other hand, most of the misconceptions in engineering thermodynamics also originate from the concepts of heat. One of the most common in this area includes the perception of heat as an entity. It is well established that some engineers and engineering students believe that heat is an entity and not a process (Sreenivasulua & Subramaniamb).
