Television will become outdated and thereby will fail to attract more viewership in the future. TV technology is technology from the past. Numerous changes have been made to the television set since it was first developed. With the advancement of technology, people are not using smart TVs to stream movies and songs, among other streaming content. This may be used as the only reason behind why television technology will continue to exist in the future. Nonetheless, focusing on the technological developments taking place and those projected to take place in the future, it would be appropriate to conclude that the future of television technology is on the verge of death, and all that is sustaining the TV is the difference in time between the present and the future (Al-Shalabi, 2016). Traditional television has been dependent on cable and satellite Future scenarios for the TV and video industry. Nevertheless, with the emergence of new technology, a modern platform has emerged, the streaming platform. Numerous streaming sites have emerged, such as Netflix and HBO Max, that people are using to watch most of their media content. Although these streaming sites are believed to be the reason behind the expected continued viewing of TV, these streaming platforms are the main reasons behind the decrease in TV viewership. Notably, due to the advancement of technology through innovation, laptops, tablets, and computers have been developed, as noted by Robinson (2019). These gadgets can easily access the internet. They are beneficial because of their portability. A TV set will only be used at a fixed position, which is the house. Despite television sets being placed in every room in a home, the use of laptops, tablets, and smartphones seems more leisurely to a significant majority of the population, and especially the millennials. People spend most of their time on their smartphones, which can stream content from streaming platforms. For instance, any Android or iPhone can be used to stream Netflix. This reduces the need to have a TV since the content required can easily be viewed through an online platform. Furthermore, the streaming platforms are the same platforms that have replaced and are slowly replacing TV networks and the use of cable. Streaming platforms avail a variety of media content that cannot be identified in normal programming networks. Additionally, ordinary television networks are currently being watched due to their live events, such as sports like the NBA and NFL. Future scenarios for the TV and video industry. The rest of the programs can easily be viewed and found on different streaming platforms like Netflix. The experience offered by streaming media is the significant reason behind the decline of the use of TV. Users are offered a better experience than that the one availed by traditional television, which is why there has been a significant decline in TV viewership in the recent past, especially after introducing the internet and devices that easily access the internet.

Television viewership is expected to increase in the future as people continue to use their television sets to watch famous programs such as live sporting events, including NBA and NFL. The use of television sets is believed to be a thing of the past or slowly becoming obsolete. Notwithstanding, this is only a claim that does not argue out, focusing on all the aspects of television viewership. The availability of the streaming platforms is one of the principal reasons behind the expected rise in TV viewership in the future. Televisions are now being manufactured using new technology to stream content using major streaming platforms such as Netflix. The argument for the increase in viewership suggests that instead of television, becoming obsolete, it is evolving and adopting new technology. Furthermore, these streaming sites offer a different experience and help market television sets, such as the Netflix campaign, notifying users that TV got better because of the experience provided. Despite the development of the streaming sites that are believed to be the primary reason behind the decrease in television viewership, streaming sites are the main components to increase viewership due to offering different content in different forms appealing to the target audience. Streaming platforms provide original content, including reality shows that are absent from traditional TV networking channels. With the streaming platforms already on TV sets, such as Android TVs, TV viewership is expected to increase in the future since people will engage in watching original content that they can follow at any given time without restrictions Future scenarios for the TV and video industry .The availability of live television shows such as the NBA and NFL is part of why viewership is expected to rise. Conversely, those against the argument concerning the growth of TV viewership argue that streaming platforms are the reasons behind the decrease in TV viewership. The easy accessibility of the internet using smartphones, tablets, and laptops makes it more comfortable for people to use such devices instead of relying on non-portable television sets. Overall, the viewership of television sets is expected to grow instead of becoming obsolete since television technology is evolving to suit the current market needs and integrating new components such as streaming platforms Future scenarios for the TV and video industry
