Climate change has a considerable effect on the seafloor. The aspect of climate change occurs as a result of global warming, where temperature close to the earth’s surface increases in average. The global warming issue causes the ocean levels to rise, which results in extreme weather in terms of intensity and other critical changes to patterns of precipitation. Thus climate change has a significant influence on the seafloor as the increasing waters bring about radical changes to the seafloor patterns and appearance. This results in the sinking of some important islands and which are projected to disappear from the surface in the coming years completely. Climate change results in increased desertification, changes in food production, trade routes modification, and extinction of mass species and glacier retreats and also causes disease vectors to increase. It is thought that climate change is just an increase in the general temperatures of the earth’s surface.
