According to WHO reports, there are 3.9 million nurses in the United States and this number does not fully cater to the high patient demand and the growing population. According to the American Nurses Association (ANA), there are more than one million nursing jobs currently available a greater percentage as compared to any other profession (Haddad, Annamaraju & Toney-Butler, 2020). The relevant stakeholders should thus allocate a greater budget to the recruitment and retention of nurses every financial year.
